This Year's Model Updates:

For the 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, the changes are few but significant. The LTZ and the 3900 (3.9-liter) V6 engine are dropped; a non-E85 version of the 3500 V6 (3.5-liter) becomes standard for California-level emissions states; and the LT's option packages are simplified.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, relatively low sticker price, an engine for everyone.
Cons:
  • Vague steering detracts from handling, stark cabin design.

  • A good choice car to buy or lease - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

I have been leasing a Chevy Monte Carlo for 8 years. I have yet to have had any trouble with the car. The only service I have to do is to change the oil. What better car can there be then this car?

  • The car is beautiful - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

I love my new car, it is very comfortable. That was the second reason I bought it, first being the overall looks. Mine is black beauty. Only complaint is I am only getting 13 mpg in city.

  • Disappointed from Cleveland - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

What a disappointment! Cant believe I had to replace the steering shaft twice at 700 miles and again at 7800. What was my dream car became my nightmare! Gas mileage is terrible and the stereo reception and speakers are just as bad.

  • Great Car for the Money - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Well Ive owned this car for four months and really enjoy it. Gas mileage using regular gas is great 27 city/highway, I get 34 on the highway. Since this car is a Flex Fuel car I started using E-85 and the mileage dropped like 6-8 miles to the gallon which was very disappointing, otherwise this car is great.

  • Love my Monte - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

This car is great. I love driving it all the time and really enjoy the style and looks of this car. Its still a attention getter. I dont understand why they stopped making it. I am so glad to get the last of them for 2007. Please GM bring this car back. See ya at the dream cruise in 2032 what a classic it will be. Love my Chevy

I bought my monte new in march 2007. I have not had one single mechanical issue with it since. Seriously, not one. It is very comfortable and looks awesome. At 28,000 it is still running like new and shows no signs of slowing down.

I love my 2007 SS Monte Carlo, we just bought it this month. We already have a 2003 Monte Carlo and since we liked it so much we bought another one. We like the fact that it has a V8 engine. Our first one had a V6 and we really love them for travel and theyre beautiful cars.

  • Car Awful - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

We loved the car when we bought it. It had just 11,000 miles. We have had nothing but problems with it. Fist the check engine light comes on and nothing works. Turned it off and back on and everything was ok. Next the heater and air would work sometimes and the not. Thant quit. We sprung 2 leaks in the Power Steering line, and the transmission will stall and then lunge forward. Contacted Chevrolet and that was the biggest joke. Recall on 2006 and 2007 Monte Carlos for the Power Steering leakage, but not 2007. Technical Service Bulletin on the Transmission, which could cause a serious accident, but nothing on the 2007. Dealer said it was a crimped line. Get real.

  • The Sled - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Purchased new, my second Monte Carlo. The first one is a 2000LS. This 07 LT is garbage. Problems from bad (DIC) few of them, display burns out, replaced all four rims from corrosion already, car creaks like a 10yr old car, cheaper plastics, and low grade leather seating. Maybe they skimped on quality for the last year. Really thought Id love this one the way I love my old Monte, which I still have.

  • 5.0 Litre Eater - 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

This is my second Monte Carlo. My first was a 1999 Z-34 with a Series II 3800 engine. At the time it was a very quick car, but increasing the horsepower by over 100 was quite a change to say the least. The torque off the line is startling, but when you learn to control it (or upgrade your tires), a new 5.0 Litre Mustang has a scrap on his hands. Pairing two drivers of similar skill, it can go either way. I love getting a red light next to a teenager in his/her sports car. I live in calgary so that usually means a Beamer, an Audi, or a Mustang. On dry pavement, enjoy my exhaust. Also, Challengers and Chargers should take notice pretty quickly.
